Our Work
United Way believes that everyone deserves the basic building blocks of a good life: Education, Income and Health.
To help guide us in our work, we have set bold goals for the next 10 years. By 2018, we as a nation must:
- Cut by half the number of young people who drop out of high school.
- Cut by half the number of lower-income families that lack financial stability
- Increase by one third the number of youth and adults who are healthy and avoid behaviors that are risky to their health
Our ability to work together and reach these goals is critical to our success as a nation.
We all have a responsibility to reach out a hand and improve the condition of those around us. Our success relies on the passion, commitment and generous support of our partners and friends. Together we can create change.
We invite you to read about the issues we, as a nation, face and how United Way is improving the Education, Income and Health of the tri-state area. Or you can download our Community Indicators Report for more details on the issues facing the Tri-State Area
